The common faults of speedometer include pointer immobility, broken core, inaccurate data and running noise.
① Pointer runout is not stable, word drum operation is not normal: the reason is that the transmission pinion or the gear on the digital wheel is broken or worn open. In the internal meshing drum structure, the word drum does not rotate due to the deformation of the clamping piece, the dislocation of the gear, the burr flash or the sliding of the reducing worm gear due to excessive wear. When installing the odometer soft spindle, do not bend it too fast to prevent the soft spindle from rotating. Pay attention to the bending radius should not be less than 150 mm, otherwise it will cause spindle fracture, shaft wear, odometer pointer swing back and forth, reduce the service life.
② Indication error: when the indication reading of speedometer is inaccurate and the mileage has obvious error, it is generally due to the loosening of flange locking nut, which makes the driving gear of odometer flexible shaft loose and slip. The flexible shaft driving gear of 1090e car odometer is fixed by the flange lock nut of the hand brake drum and connected with the second shaft of the transmission. The nut is self-locking by the deformation of four butterfly washers pressed in it. Excessive wear of instrument parts and magnetic degradation of magnet will cause inaccurate data indication. When the driving gear of the odometer is loose and the driving gear is not compressed and slipping, which makes the mileage reading obviously less than the actual value, check and lock the flange of the drive shaft
Screw the nut to the specified torque I% - 245n "M. During each maintenance, check the fastening condition of flange lock nut, remove the connector of odometer flexible shaft, remove the shaft from the vehicle, or clamp the square head of spindle to draw out the flexible spindle, clean with oil, apply grease and then install.
③ If the drum does not work, the pointer does not move: generally, the flexible shaft is stuck in the pipe and the flexible shaft is broken; the protective pipe joint is detached; the drive gear of the drum is stuck, worn and damaged. When replacing the odometer soft spindle, it is necessary to find out the cause of the broken spindle and whether the odometer shaft is jammed. Use your hand to reach the spindle socket on the back side of the instrument panel and rotate it for several turns to see if it is flexible, and then install the flexible shaft. If you can't turn it by hand or you feel that it sometimes gets stuck and runs unsteadily, you must not install it blindly (otherwise, it will be broken after driving for only a few miles). At this time, the odometer assembly must be removed and the gear should be checked
Whether it is damaged, whether the rotating shaft is bent or deformed. After proper adjustment, apply lubricating oil for reassembly, and then turn the rotating shaft to see whether the pointer and drum are in normal operation.
④ Running noise: during driving, it is found that there is a squeaking and squeaking noise in the odometer, which is mainly caused by dry friction due to the lack of lubrication of the rotating shaft and gears in the odometer. The odometer assembly should be removed, and a few drops of lubricating oil can be put into the square hole at the joint
