The tire monitoring display is a system used to identify slow and slight tire pressure loss at wheel position. Using ABS sensor, RKA + (tire monitoring display) to compare the speed, so as to achieve the comparison of the rolling circumference of each wheel. When the wheel rolling circumference changes, the tire monitoring display in the instrument cluster lights up and gives an audible warning to inform the change. If the car's combination instrument has a central display, the position of the tire will be given.
After the tire with emergency operation characteristic (SST) is replaced with the tire without emergency operation characteristic (SST), the controller must be coded again (the process is also carried out in reverse)
The rolling circumference of the tire may change under the following conditions: the tire inflation pressure is too low; The tire structure is damaged; Vehicle unilateral load; Strong tire load on an axle (e.g. driving with trailer, uphill and downhill driving); Emergency wheels are installed; One wheel on each axle is replaced (also from front to rear, or vice versa).
System fault in RKA + / - system: a system fault is stored in the fault memory of tire inflation pressure monitoring controller 2j793 and displayed by the Yellow RKA (tire monitoring display) + / - bulb which is continuously on in the combination instrument. The RKA + / - (tire monitoring display) display cannot be deleted by pressing the RKA + / - (tire monitoring display) button.
When there is a fault memory record, connect vas5051, and then select "guided fault inquiry" → vehicle diagnostic tester for calibration (relearn tire inflation pressure): every time there is a change on the wheel, press and hold the tire pressure monitoring button in the center console when the ignition is on and the vehicle is stationary, Until the RKA + / (tire monitoring display) bulb in the combination instrument flashes repeatedly. The calibration process and the re memory of the tire inflation pressure are confirmed by repeated flashing.
