ESP英文全称是Electronic Stability Program。直译为电子稳定程序或电子稳定装置，德国博世公司将它应用在了汽车上，用来控制车身的稳定性，因此人们也把ESP称作汽车车身电子稳定控制系统。
The full English name of ESP is electronic stability program. Electronic stability program or electronic stability device, Bosch Company in Germany used it to control the stability of the car body, so people also call esp the electronic stability control system of automobile body.
For all vehicles equipped with ESP, after landing, ESP is turned on by default, but in some specific cases, it is necessary to press the ESP off switch to turn off the ESP system. (it's not that ESP doesn't work at all, it just sets the sensitivity to a low value).
Cross country in mud or sand
Just imagine that when the vehicle climbs up in the mud, the speed difference between the wheels on both sides is very serious. At this time, the ESP starts, and the engine torque will be continuously consumed by the wheels with less rolling resistance. At the same time, esp will limit the engine speed. Even if you step on the accelerator, it must be very difficult to get out of trouble. At this time, if you turn off ESP, I believe it will be easier to get out of trouble.
When driving violently, such as drifting
When the vehicle drifts, the speed difference between the left and right wheels will be very large. At this time, if ESP is involved, it will be difficult to get a keen driving experience. Turn off the ESP, I believe it is easier to make beautiful movements.
When installing snow chains
For a car equipped with anti-skid chain, the detection signals such as wheel speed sensor and lateral acceleration sensor will be inaccurate, which will affect the normal operation of the ESP system. Maybe the ESP will continue to intervene or report fault codes, so it is better to turn off.
